Happy birthday this week (21st August) to a legend of our lifetime – amazing sprinter Usain Bolt! Recently retired, he's a world record holder in 100 metres, 200 metres and 4 × 100 metres relay. Owing to these achievements, he's regarded as the greatest sprinter of all time.

In his 33 years he always believed he could be the best, reached the top level – and then he stayed there. Without a doubt, ask any achiever – be it in sport, arts, health or business – and there are always these three ingredients: self-belief, dedication and perseverance. There are many "overnight successes" who have had these three key ingredients behind them… for many years!

So the winner always goes the extra mile. They keep going. So it is with training and getting yourself fit and healthy. Nobody has ever yet managed to just think themselves a six-pack, bulging biceps or tight thighs!
